Our SUFRA impressions

Sufra is a restaurant venue at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights, located in Healthcare city. The hotel itself looks brand new with fresh looks of modern living. I was fascinated with its enormous and light lobby which leads straight to the Sufra venue. Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Indian and Western specialties are showcased food at Sufra, they even have a separate Mexican station from their popular restaurant called “La Tablita”.

The specialty of Sufra is a Friday Family brunch with kids’ food station that has:

  1. two types of pasta (Bolognese and cheesy pasta)

  2. nuggets

  3. smiley face potato chips

  4. steamed vegetables (cauliflower, carrots, zucchini, broccoli)

  5. mini burgers

  6. pastries and sweets

The best part of it is having the kids’ area with dining tables and chairs where your little ones can enjoy the food in the company of peers along with arts & crafts tables on the side, containing lots of markers/pencils, coloring pages and many other staff for crafting. There are also several nannies dedicated to entertain/be with your child. I sat in there with my Kamran, as he is yet small for being left in the kids’ area,  and watched the nannies while my Kamran was busy “coloring” the Sponge Bob. Nannies been doing a great job, by playing with kids, teaching kids to color/craft, and making balloon animals. So older kids did have fun while their parents enjoyed their delicious lunch.

Big lunch I’d say. I always start with a soup, and so does my entire family. There were two varieties of soup: lentil and seafood creamy soups. Starters had options of many kinds of salads, cheeses, canapes that are freshly made right in front of you. I passed through Japanese and Chinese/Taiwanese counters as I don’t eat such food, but had a glance to see how it’s been emptying and refilling very quick, so guessed it was very tasty. My favorite station in any brunch is a life cooking counter, I never go to a brunch that has no such station. Sufra has a big one, with lamp chops, lobsters and shrimps that are cooked according to your taste. The Pekin duck counter is right next to a life cooking station. Lots to eat from the Mexican counter that offers most of the Mexican bests and Arabic counter with huge salted fish and tasty lamb along with choices of rice and pasta. I was impressed with their dessert counters which offer: fruits and berries, ice-creams, Turkish and Arabic sweets with pastries, Western pastries and cakes, there is even a life “konafe” making counter. You can also order soft drinks/beverages from smiling and friendly waitresses.

If you are looking for a very family friendly brunch with delicious varieties of food, Sufra will be the best choice for you and your family!
